Cohort Theatre Company

President and Producing Artistic Director (2020-2021)

As president of the Cohort Theatre Company (CTC), I created virtual programming for artists to support the Black Lives Matter movement, build an interdisciplinary arts program and serve as a leader within the department of theatre and greater university community at The Ohio State University. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I championed the building of an online presence. Our 2021 Programming season saw a devised film about the Ohio Opioid Epidemic and a virtual residency with international devising company, SITI Company.

I turned a student organization into a professional programming theatre company. I implemented and created roles which include Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, Management Director, Head of New Work, Director of Communication, Stage Combat and Intimacy director, among others.

Our pilot program, WorkshopWeek, raised thousands of dollars for our community partner, BQIC (Black Queer and Intersectional Collective), through virtual donation-based theatre workshops.

Moreover, I helped implement a new play festival focusing on female playwrights in a virtual theatre conference in February 2021
